Candlemas – Feast of Presentation of the Lord is celebrated on Tuesday 2 February 2021. Mass will be at at 12pm.
Candlemas is a solemnity celebrating Jesus’ presentation at the temple. It is one of the oldest feasts and has been celebrated since the 4th century.
It is customary to bless candles on this day for use in the church and home. Candles are available to purchase in advance to be blessed at Candlemas. Please submit $5 offering in the offertory basket including your name and request for Candlemas candles. They come in sets of two. The deadline for payment is 18 January.
