Bishop’s Statement on Mother Emanuel AME Church Tragedy

“I am deeply saddened by the mass murder that occurred at Emanuel AME Church. The inside of any church is a sanctuary. When a person enters, he or she has the right to worship, pray and learn in a safe and secure environment. For anyone to murder nine individuals is upsetting, but to kill them inside of a church during a Bible study class is devastating to any faith community. On behalf of the Catholic faithful in South Carolina, I offer my deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and to the members of Emanuel AME Church. I pray

Cathedral Choir on Vacation

The Cathedral Choir, which sings at the 11:15 am Solemn Mass each Sunday, will take a well deserved vacation for the Summer months following the Feast of Corpus Christi on 7 June. Vacation Church Camp!

It’s that time of year again! The Cathedral’s Vacation Church Camp will be June 15-19th in the Parish Hall from 8:45 am to 11:30 am. All children from K4 to 3rd grade are invited to this fun week of faith building, games, crafts, stories, and more! Registration begins May 17th. Cost is $15 per child (with a $30 family max.)
