Special Mass for Healing and Peace

The Diocese of Charleston will offer a special Mass for healing and peace as the Lowcountry commemorates the one-year anniversary of the deadly shooting at Emanuel AME Church, and the country mourns those who lost their lives in the massacre in Orlando, FL. Father Joseph Romanoski, Dean of the Coastal Deanery, will celebrate the Mass on Wednesday, June 15, at 7 p.m. The Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 5 St. Teresa Drive. Taylor Music Group Concert – We Sing of Life

  The Taylor Festival Choir concludes its regular season with two performance of three prominent choral masterpieces. First, we bring you the Pope Marcellus Mass (Missa Papae Marcelli) written by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. Legend has it that this was the piece that saved polyphonic church music. After intermission, you will enjoy a rousing performance of Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. Finally, we will conclude the concert with Johann Sebastian Bach’s eternal motet inget dem Herrn ein Neues Lied.
