Special Mass for Healing and Peace
The Diocese of Charleston will offer a special Mass for healing and peace as the Lowcountry commemorates the one-year anniversary of the deadly shooting at Emanuel AME Church, and the country mourns those who lost their lives in the massacre in Orlando, FL. Father Joseph Romanoski, Dean of the Coastal Deanery, will celebrate the Mass on Wednesday, June 15, at 7 p.m. The Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 5 St. Teresa Drive. Choral Mass 5 June 2016
The 11:15 am Solemn Mass for the Cathedral Choir’s last Sunday of the season will be the Missa Brevis in D Major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Dr. Murray Somerville will be guest organist along with string players from the Charleston Symphony Orchestra.

The Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima is coming 30 April & 1 May! The statue will be available for veneration after all Masses, with a rosary led by our Religious Education Students following the 9 am Mass. There will be talks given about Fatima during and after Masses as well. What a great way to start the Month of May! Taylor Music Group Concert – We Sing of Life
The Taylor Festival Choir concludes its regular season with two performance of three prominent choral masterpieces. First, we bring you the Pope Marcellus Mass (Missa Papae Marcelli) written by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. Legend has it that this was the piece that saved polyphonic church music. After intermission, you will enjoy a rousing performance of Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. Finally, we will conclude the concert with Johann Sebastian Bach’s eternal motet inget dem Herrn ein Neues Lied. Sunday, 10 April 2016 at 3 pm. Click here for ticket information.
